Too Many Words, Not Enough Heart

[Spoken Intro / Monologue]

Okay—this isn’t a story.

At least, not the kind you can call a story

when there are too many reasons

and not enough feeling.

I can explain it.

I can organize it.

But I can’t remember a single time

anyone was saved by that.

So—where do we start?

At the beginning? Or at the conclusion?

Either way,

we end up in the same place.

[Verse 1]

I set a subject, line up predicates,

push my feelings into footnotes,

and with “in other words” and “to sum it up,”

I shave off what actually matters.

I leave contradictions on the shelf,

while logic looks perfectly aligned.

The moment I understand it,

somehow my heart is the only thing missing.

[Pre-Chorus]

Rightness is always talkative,

it never gives silence a seat.

The more I speak,

the more my truth refuses to become words.

[Chorus]

I explain, therefore I disappear

Every sentence makes me thinner.

Answers always

leave emotions behind.

With a joking little monologue

I disguise how serious it is,

wearing a face that says “I get it,”

standing here, holding nothing at all.

[Verse 2]

Cause, effect, and assumptions—

they say if you have them all, you can breathe.

But nowhere in that formula

is the word “lonely.”

Conviction is so kind,

it quietly kills discomfort.

The more the world makes sense,

the harder it is to inhale.

[Pre-Chorus]

My thoughts are always eloquent,

they want to speak for my feelings.

But feelings spoken for

aren’t real anymore.

[Chorus]

I think, therefore I fracture

The more I think, the more I split.

Truth is always

more vague than any explanation.

Light words, clever metaphors—

some nights they work like shields.

But underneath, when they peel away,

only blank space remains.

[Bridge / Monologue]

Let’s pause and organize this.

There are three problems.

One: I managed to understand it.

Two: I believed I understood it.

Three: I told someone about it.

…Every single one is fatal.

[Final Chorus]

I talk, therefore I stay here

I can’t leave—I keep narrating.

With nothing but words to hold,

I’m betrayed by words again and again.

Even mysteries that didn’t need untying,

I carefully break apart.

The story doesn’t end—

only the explanations multiply.

[Outro / Spoken]

I’ve reached a conclusion.

But I’m not relieved.

Maybe this is the answer.

And—

the fact that there is an answer

is the mistake.
